Position Overview:
As our Shipping & Receiving Operator, you’ll be the heart of our product flow, ensuring everything from dairy flavors to advanced bioproducts makes it to the right place at the right time. If you’re organized, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with a great team, this is the role for you! This is a first-shift, hourly position with ample opportunity to grow within our innovative team.
What You’ll Do:
- Carefully prepare and organize products for shipment, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain up-to-date records of shipments and receipts in a timely manner.
- Report any damages or discrepancies for smooth accounting and recordkeeping.
- Work closely with production to ensure product flow aligns with schedules.
- Safely load and unload trucks, operating a forklift with skill and precision.
- Play an essential role in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and show a commitment to quality in line with GMP guidelines.
- Perform regular safety inspections on loads and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work in cold weather environments as needed, ensuring the safe handling and storage of products.
What You Bring to the Team:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience.
- Forklift experience (1-2 years) and certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment with changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members across departments.
- Knowledge of logistics and ERP systems.
- Comfort with reading and interpreting shipping and receiving documents.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in both indoor and cold-weather environments.
