- Bachelor's Degree required in Sports Management or Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership preferred
- RAA Certification preferred
- CPR and AED certification required
- A minimum of four (4) years of varsity head coaching experience is required
- Previous experience in administering athletic programs preferred
- Proficiency in digital platforms, including social media, website management, and digital ticketing systems
- Experience with multiple athletic management software programs
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Customer service-oriented approach with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of MHSAA rules and regulations
- Ability to develop and manage budgets and collaborate with the district office on financial matters
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and exemplary attendance record
- Ability to implement Emergency Operations Plans
- Knowledge and experience supporting student-athletes in the college recruitment process

- Supervise and coordinate the work of all athletic personnel
- Collaborate with administrators to plan, maintain, and oversee athletic facilities
- Manage scheduling of facilities, officials, transportation, and game-day operations
- Assist with budget oversight and financial planning for athletics
- Support student-athlete leadership development by implementing and managing a Student Leadership Committee
- Ensure compliance with MHSAA Rules and Regulations (including; Master Eligibility of Student Athletes)
- Provide training and leadership development for athletic employees and coaches
- Assist in the hiring, evaluation, and professional development of athletic personnel
- Oversee procurement of athletic equipment and supplies
- Serve as a liaison between the Athletic Department and third-party custodial staff, as well as District Facilities
- Coordinate communications and logistics with district departments including finance, human resources, transportation, food service, technology, and building administration
- Assist with sponsorship development and fundraising efforts in collaboration with coaches and district leadership
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and oversee emergency response planning for athletic events
- Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of the role
- Some physical activity, including lifting, may be required
- Other duties as assigned
- Reports to/evaluated by the Director of Athletics
- 260 days per year
