The Information Technology (IT) Manager reports to the CFO with accountability for providing excellent service to our employees. The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems, networks, and technology solutions run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, coordinating IT projects, and ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of our systems and services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the IT Manager:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the IT team, providing direction, training, and support.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous learning and growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Manage the installation, configuration, and monitoring of servers, network devices, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure all technology infrastructure is running at peak performance.
Project Management:
- Lead IT projects from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and goals are met.
- Work with stakeholders across departments to define technology requirements and solutions.
- Ensure proper testing and deployment of new systems or software.
Cybersecurity:
- Regularly monitor network security and respond to potential threats or breaches.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to minimize system downtime.
End-User Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Develop and implement IT training programs for staff on the use of technology tools and software.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain documentation for IT systems, policies, procedures, and user manuals.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree or certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with IT compliance standards and industry regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The IT Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, the IT Manager should have knowledge of industry related software be able to touch type and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps.
REASONING ABILITY:
The IT Manager should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language.
