NRT Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The NRT Project Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth from commercial opportunities in their assigned local region as well as maximizing opportunities nationally. The NRT Project Manager is responsible for executing strategic plans, developing/maintaining strategic relationships. This position works under the direction of the Senior Project Manager of the National Response Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for the NRT Project Manager:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:   

• May assist phases of sales activities to uncover, develop, and close opportunities including sales calls, follow up calls, conducting client needs analysis, conducting online and in-person meetings and presentations, and servicing existing accounts.
• Provides weekly written reports on activities and results to include new jobs, new contacts, new targets, existing pipeline, new opportunities, ongoing initiatives, and scheduled activities.

Project Management 

• Works from a scope as prepared by a Jenkins Estimator, plans, and executes the construction and or restoration of commercial structures.
• Revises as appropriate to meet changing needs within timeline and budget
• Identifies and manages resources and assigns as necessary

• Provides detailed quality control via frequent project site visits
• Meets project deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
• Reviews and inspects product on regular basis to ensure standards are being met
• Minimizes Jenkins’ exposure to risk on projects
• Manages budgets and tracks project expenses 

• Understands, interprets and relays building plans
• Manages inspections process to ensure compliance with local/national codes and other building details

Project Estimating 

• Visits new job property and document the full scope of repairs while onsite

• Interfaces with clients and Insurance Adjusters throughout the estimating phase
• Handles full negotiation of project through to estimate approval by insurance carrier or client along with the SPM.
• Prepares construction contract along with the SPM.
• Schedules and executes pre-construction meeting with client. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Associates degree (A.A or A.S) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 2 to 3 years of industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  

The NRT Project Manager may require extensive travel in response to large commercial projects, as well as business development efforts.  This will include spending time on site to manage large projects throughout the country, or other scenarios or opportunities deemed necessary and beneficial by your Branch Manager and/or Corporate Management. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:                                                       

The NRT Project Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:                                                       

To perform this job successfully, the NRT Project Manager should have knowledge of industry related software such as Xactynalysis, be able to “touch type” and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) 

REASONING ABILITY:

The NRT Project Manager should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, NRT Project Manager is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
