What are the responsibilities and job description for the Candy/Ice Cream Associate position at Jenkinson's Boardwalk?
- Greet and assist Customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Process customer purchases and restock all items - candy, ice cream cones, etc.
- Learn and use knowledge of Jenkinson’s Boardwalk to inform customers
- Perform opening and closing of store procedures as needed
- Wear appropriate attire at all times including Candy Store staff shirt, black pants or shorts, closed toe shoes
- Keep hair pulled back during work hours. Shorts must be longer than fingertips in length when the arm is at the side.
- Light cleaning is performed daily (sweep/mop floors, clean cases/counters, dusting etc)
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
- Notify supervisor of obligations/vacations one week in advance and sick time ASAP
- No personal calls, text messages, posting on social media, surfing the Internet, or personal emails are allowed. The use of personal music devices is prohibited. Phone and computer systems are intended for professional uses only.
- Hours required: Major Holidays, weekends and special event days.
- Must be professional, eager, and friendly.
- Basic mathematical and reading comprehension is required
- Must have have reliable transportation
- Ability to multitask (in between helping customers is when restocking and cleaning is performed)
