What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Shop Associate position at Jenkinson's Boardwalk?
Jenkinson's boardwalk is home to 6 gift shops selling everything from hats to hermit crabs. What is a stop at the beach without a souvenir to take home to friends and family. We are looking for outgoing, friendly team members to stock the store, help customers with any questions they might have and operate the register to finish the sale.
- Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Process customer purchases and restock all items - clothing, keepsakes, etc.
- Learn and use knowledge of Jenkinson’s Boardwalk to inform customers
- Perform opening and closing of store procedures as needed
- Wear appropriate attire at all times including Gift Shop staff shirt, choice of brown/black/pants or shorts, closed toe shoes. Shorts must be longer than fingertips in length when the arm is at the side.
- Light cleaning is performed daily (sweep/mop floors, clean display cases/counters, dusting, etc.)
