We are seeking a highly skilled Chick Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Jenks Hatchery in Tangent, OR. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of chick quality.
Responsibilities
- Weigh each set of eggs at set and transfer, and record moisture loss of hatching eggs to guarantee chick quality.
- Candle eggs as part of our QC program, providing information used to formulate hatch projections.
- Perform QC and calibration tests on all chick servicing equipment as part of a preventative maintenance and QC monitoring program.
- Regularly monitor and record egg shell temperatures of eggs throughout the incubation process.
- Post all findings and QC process data for review by the Hatchery Manager.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Poultry Science or Veterinary Technology preferred.
