The hourly rate of pay for this position is $20.00. The hourly rate of pay is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.

As the Lead, Inbound Operations for Jenni Kayne, you will play a hands-on leadership role overseeing inbound workflows including Receiving, Returns, Store Transfers, and related functions such as Putaway, Dock Management, and Inbound Quality Control. This position supports the Assistant Director in driving daily performance, team development, and operational excellence.
You will serve as the key point of contact for floor-level operations, ensuring that inbound inventory is processed accurately, efficiently, and according to standard operating procedures.
Receiving Department:
- Oversee daily receiving functions to ensure timely unloading, inspection, and system receipt of inbound goods.
- Coordinate dock schedules with transportation partners and prioritize unloads based on service level agreements.
- Ensure all ASN (Advance Shipment Notices) are matched and discrepancies communicated.
- Monitor putaway activities to maintain inventory accuracy and bin integrity.
- Supervise the processing of customer and store returns and ensure all items are received, inspected, graded, and routed to the correct inventory disposition (restock, damage, RTW, etc.).
- Confirm proper documentation and system receipts are completed for all inbound store transfers.
- Support quality assurance by escalating damaged or irregular product to appropriate departments.
- Coordinate inbound parcel and LTL deliveries, including check-in and staging.
- Monitor and manage inbound exceptions including shorts, overages, damages, and mis-ships.
- Support RTV (Return to Vendor) and cross-dock activities where applicable.
- Partner with Inventory Control to support cycle counting, audits, and variance resolution.
- Act as a working lead—model best practices while guiding, training, and developing a high-performing team.
- Maintain open communication and accountability across shifts.
- Ensure team adherence to safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
- Conduct on-the-floor coaching and provide real-time feedback.
- Assist with onboarding and cross-training of new team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
- Reinforce safe material handling and equipment usage practices.
- Promote and enforce all company safety protocols.
- Participate in daily shift huddles and communicate operational updates.
- Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Flex across functions as needed to meet business demand and throughput targets.
- Lead by example with a team-first mentality and proactive problem-solving mindset.
- 3 years in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment
- 1 year of team lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Experience with WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, Manhattan, or similar)
- Strong understanding of receiving, returns, and inventory flow
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout the shift
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and safety
