Food Expeditor

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Food Expeditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and accurate preparation of to-go orders, handle phone orders, prepare sauces, and maintain a clean and organized preparation area. This role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive their orders on time and with the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packing To-Go Orders: Accurately pack and organize to-go orders, ensuring all items are included and packaged securely for delivery or pick-up.
• Preparing Sauces: Prepare and portion sauces according to our recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Taking Phone Orders: Answer incoming phone calls, take customer orders, and provide excellent customer service, ensuring accuracy in order entry and special requests.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the preparation and packing area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Coordination: Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed on time and meet our quality standards.
• Quality Control: Double-check orders for accuracy and presentation before they are sent out.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both in taking orders over the phone and coordinating with the kitchen staff.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items as needed, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
