We provide patients with physical therapy, chiropractic care, and injury prevention services. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapy Assistant is to help patients improve their functional mobility and to work closely and under the direction of our Doctor of Physical Therapy. Assist with patient treatment plans due to medical problems or other conditions that limit their activities of daily living.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with administering patient treatments and procedures as directed by the Physical Therapist.
Works in conjunction with the Physical Therapist to assist with patient treatment plans, outcome measures, and modification of care plans.
Promote and execute programs of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients, as directed by a Physical Therapist.
Understand the use of therapeutic procedures, exercise, equipment, or machinery to restore movement, strength, or flexibility.
Always maintain patient safety.
Assist with functional screening and testing through our Titleist Performance Institute golfing programs.
Maintains compliance with Medicare and other quality initiatives.
Assists in maintaining cleanliness.
Assists with patient scheduling and filling out fee sheets.
Ability to work well with staff members and provide daily communication with physical therapy and other doctors.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Requires an associate degree
License as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Current CPR Certificate
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proper Daily documentation patient notes on computer Eclipse
Daily patient scheduling and filling out patient fee sheets
Use of therapeutic modalities
Physical Requirements:
Varied physical activities including sitting, walking, squatting, stooping, lifting, bending, reaching.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
