Summary
The Summer Internship Program at Jennison Associates is a 10 week program that includes a variety of events and projects to provide students with a challenging and meaningful experience. This program was created and formalized with the goal of preparing students for their future by enhancing their industry knowledge and expanding their professional network, while providing them with a real-life work experience.
Your Impact
The Operations Intern on the Trade Support Team will assist the team in performing daily trade support functions of the Equity Trading desks and will focus on group specific data projects. This assistance will create time for current team members to continue to focus on group cross-training initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform various daily trade support tasks related to trade lifecycle workflow
- Work with the team on ad-hoc projects related to brokers, commission schedules, settlement instructions, account level information, industry events and market nuances
- Gain exposure to team activities such as trade matching, trade confirmation, collateral management, and FX trade analysis
Your Required Skills
- We are currently seeking a candidate who is highly motivated, possesses excellent communication skills, and has the ability to work in a busy environment while multi-tasking and prioritizing
- Rising Senior working towards a BA/BS with a 3.3 GPA or higher
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) with an ability to learn new systems and internal applications
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- High sense of urgency and proactiveness
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Availability to work up to 40 hours per week over 10 weeks (beginning in June to mid-August approximately)
- This role will work in alignment with Jennison’s hybrid model (onsite Tuesday – Thursday and remote Monday, Friday)
The hourly rate for this role is $30/hour and rates for this role may vary based on various factors including but not limited to, years of experience, range in corporate level, candidate skills, and geographic location. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
