Baker Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods according to standardized recipes and bakery guidelines, including cakes, cupcakes, pastries, and brownies
• Ensure that baked goods are made promptly to meet customer demand while maintaining quality standards
• Measure and mix ingredients, accurately following recipes to achieve consistent quality
• Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and other kitchen tools
• Monitor the baking process and make necessary adjustments to maintain product consistency and quality
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients and supplies
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment
• Assist with other bakery tasks as needed, such as inventory management and restocking ingredients, and cleaning

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a baker within the food industry is required
• Knowledge of baking techniques, including mixing, proofing, and baking various pastries and cakes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet production timelines
• Advances knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools, including ovens, mixers, and measuring devices
• Understanding of food handling and safety regulations
• Physical stamina to handle tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs up and down stairs
• Must be able to work in refrigerated environments when necessary
• Must be able to work with frozen/frozen temps on occasion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
