Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Newborn Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide support and care for newborn, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with Newborns and infants. Must be willing to be around pets and adapt to different family settings. Your contributions will help create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning. Willing to Work overnight and shifts that range 5 hours to 12 hours as well as Holidays paid as Time and a half. Must have car and in good condition to commute.
Duties
- Provide attentive care for children ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Engage children in educational activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions and social skills.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times for infants and toddlers.
- Create a safe and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized space conducive to play and learning.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in roles such as nannying or classroom settings.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices and infant care techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively educate and engage children.
- Experience in behavior management strategies to support children's social interactions.
- Certification in First Aid is required; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
- Newborn Care specialist Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain
- A background in working with Newborns preferred
- Must be able to pass Background check and provide previous employment references.
