Inexperienced & Experienced Coal Miner

Jennmar Services has SEVERAL positions available at a Coal Mine in Somerset Colorado. We have positions for both experienced & inexperienced miners. Pay will depend on experience! We train ALL new employees!

Basic Job Duties

• Ability to rotate shifts on a 24/7 basis and work overtime as needed
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Ability to communicate with all levels of mine management and co-workers
• Ability to perform heavy labor
• Visually inspect work area for potential hazards
• Ability to perform fill-in duties for other workers as necessary
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks

Skills/Training

• Must have current Underground MSHA Certification or current Annual Refresher
• Prior to hire, must complete all necessary MSHA training (WE PROVIDE TRAINING)
• General labor skills
• Prior Maintenance skills (a plus not required)

Requirements

• Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts, both days or nights
• Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass drug screen
• Ability to work within confined spaces and in the dark
• Ability to kneel, bend and stoop down for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to work free of any medications, OTC drugs, or other supplements that impede concentrations, focus, judgment, observation, or otherwise perform all work tasks safely.

Schedule

• Morning, Evening, Graveyard (required)

Salary & Benefits

• $25 - $28 per hour DOE
