JOB OVERVIEW:
Employee will schedule and load/unload all in bound and outbound shipments, verify the shipping documents match the items, & assists with inventory management & production.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- GED Required
- One-to-Three (1-3) Years Logistics or Customer Service Experience Preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate and dispatch truck drivers according to written schedules and work orders, or as required by emergency situations.
- Load and unload shipments using fork trucks/overhead cranes/etc.
- Pick, pack, and stage products for requested orders.
- Prepare shipping documents & schedule shipments
- keeping accurate records, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments.
- Maintain freight log of all outgoing shipments
- Participate in monthly cycle counts & other inventory management assignments
- Answer customer inquiries and investigate customer complaints regarding transportation, delivery, or quality of company’s products and services.
- Arrange for refund, exchange, and credit for returned merchandise.
- Other ad hoc assignments
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch. (Passing a written test is required)
- Experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong math, verbal, and literacy skills
- Experienced in the operation of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, conveying systems, etc.
- Possess personable, outgoing communication skills to converse with diverse groups of people
- Possess planning/detail-oriented organizational skills to prioritize work activities and use time efficiently to ensure work completion within required time frame
- Possess customer service competency to respond promptly to internal and external requests for service and assistance
- Possess quality control competency to self-monitor accuracy and thoroughness and apply feedback to ensure quality performance
- Communicate, understand, and perform complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Possess dependability to be consistently at work and on time
- Possess a “Team” mentality with the ability to lead others and manage competing work demands
- Possess heavy (100 lbs.) lifting capability
Available Schedule:
- Four 10-hour days. Monday - Thursday (Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 6:00am - 4:30pm
- Overtime is available
