Receptionist at groomer Salon

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized grooming salon receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the daily operations of the salon. This role requires a passion for animal care and handling, as well as strong communication skills to ensure a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
• Answer emails and respond to inquiries about services, pricing, and availability.
• Maintain an organized reception area and ensure all client records are up to date.
• Assist in managing inventory of salon supplies and products.
• Provide support to grooming staff as needed, including handling animals during check-in/check-out processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the salon environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
• Familiarity with animal care practices is highly desirable; experience in dog training, veterinary assistance, or kennel work is a plus.
• Skills in animal restraint and handling are beneficial for assisting with client pets.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and handle various breeds of dogs and other animals comfortably.
• A passion for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care is essential for success in this role.
