Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for local construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and senior estimators to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Assist in reviewing subcontractors and suppliers quotes to obtain the best pricing and terms.
- Assist in bid submission activities.
Ideal Candidate:
- 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Strong plan, reading skills and attention to detail.
- Some experience in preparing general contracting bids as well as take-off of concrete, steel, carpentry and metal building trades a plus
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools: MS Office, Sage Estimating, Planswift or E-takeoff a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
