Jr. Business Intelligence Developer

This role offers unparalleled exposure to board-level and C-Level discussions amongst multiple Private Equity and portfolio companies, providing a unique opportunity for the right candidate. The BI Developer will leverage Power BI to create end-to-end data solutions that support client initiatives, tackle complex reporting challenges, and answer critical business problems—however, expertise with Power BI specifically is not a requirement, as long as you are interested, motivated, and want to learn. Skills in SQL, database design, and advanced Excel are actually more valuable to bring to the table.

RESPONSIBILITIES

On behalf of Jenton clients, the Jr. Business Intelligence Developer will:

• Gather requirements, architect solutions, and develop top-tier Power BI reports and dashboards

• Research and recommend process improvements for data, systems, and standard procedures

• Identify impactful opportunities to link findings to key business questions and drive outcomes through analytics.

• Build relationships with new & existing clients to understand their needs and help drive growth

• Build ETL/ELT processes to consolidate diverse data sources into SQL data warehouse, including data cleansing and application of business rules

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Live in Phoenix Metro Area (ability/willingness to commute to Scottsdale office)

• Degree in business, computer science, analytics, or other quantitative discipline (advanced degree a plus)

• Experience as a BI/Data Analyst or Developer, creating reports and solving complex business problems with data

• Knowledge of data management fundamentals, ETL, and modern data warehousing principles

• Expert knowledge of data visualization best practices, plus a sense of visual communication and design

• Experience using SQL in a business environment with the ability to write complex queries

• Advanced skills in Excel (MDX, Power Query & Power Pivot a plus)

• Advanced knowledge of DAX and tabular data modeling in SSAS, Power BI or Power Pivot

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, other CRMs & ERPs

• Experience with REST APIs

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)

• Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance concepts

• Programming skills using advanced statistical tools such as R, Python, SAS

• Understanding of decision trees, segmentation, regression and machine learning models used to analyze customer behaviors, interaction patterns, correlations and probabilities
