Responsibilities

Project Planning
- Define and document project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents like but not limited to project charter, scope and requirement management document, risk, and issue tracking, change management, closing document, project approval documents.
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
Quality management
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
- Support user acceptance testing to supervise scoped items are tested successfully on time.
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple departments are assigned to the same project. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Facilitate meetings to track, note and organize team’s update and report the status to people requested by the manager.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Regularly summarize the status of key items of each project such as budget, schedule, resource, issues, goals status.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Keep track of project cost. Maintain and organize documents for project financial management.
- Can commit to solve issues for the team ethically and productively.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Required Education and Experience
- PMP Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years IT project management experience
- Scrum Master, Certifications for Agile
- Bilingual Japanese – advanced business or native level
Competencies
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
- Excellent team building and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., AZURE DevOps, Wrike, MS Project).
- Demonstrate excellent understanding for business cultural difference to operate internal projects smoothly.
