The Material Handling Supervisor is an essential linkage in the material management process by ensuring we have the necessary materials to fabricate and assemble our one-of-a-kind solutions. They are responsible for ensuring the Material Handling team has the tools they need to properly receive, store, and deliver all the materials needed for manufacturing in accordance with the master schedule.
Success Criteria
The Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for the efficient flow and effective utilization of raw materials and components. The Material Handling Supervisor ensures that material is tagged accurately (including validating any necessary inspection requirements), stored properly (ensuring proper preservation and packaging requirements are used), issued accurately, picked accurately, and delivered safely to the manufacturing team. Material movement includes the use of carts, forklifts, cranes, box truck and flatbed truck and trailer, which the Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for ensuring proper training, use, and maintenance of.
The Material Handling Supervisor has a master level of knowledge of all work instructions in the areas of receiving, put away, issuing, picking, and running. They are responsible for ensuring the team members are all properly trained and adhere to all work instructions. In addition, they advise leadership on process revision opportunities. The Material Handling Supervisor aids in the management of all stock material which includes proper storage, cycle counting, issuing and co-running yearly audited physical inventories. They are responsible for managing all recurring preservation of components in inventory to ensure materials remain in pristine condition. The Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the team is accurately location scanning each part and/or workorder accordingly with each move and working in a safe and timely manner to fulfill master schedule requirements.
Production cannot happen without the Material Handling team accurately and efficiently supplying the manufacturing teams with ready to use materials, parts, and assemblies by picking kits for production and safely moving finished projects to storage until it's time to ship to our customers.
Sailing to success starts with having experience working in logistics or warehousing at manufacturing company for heavy equipment. Familiarity with US Navy heavy machinery or complex structural parts could accelerate your path to leveling up with PAR.

Qualifications
- US Person
- Drug Free
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- 8-10 years experience in leading material handlers in a projectized manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to effectively triage and prioritize material requests in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment with complex, one-off projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of material issues and implement effective solutions in a complex, one-off manufacturing setting.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical
- Must have good written and oral communication skills
- Computer Skills (MS Office including Excel, electronic scanning of documents, warehousing software etc)
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills
- Safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to complete work that may involve lifting, bending, reaching, carrying, climbing and prolonged standing
- Ability to function within working conditions and physical requirements described below
- Exposure to various extreme weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise levels.
- Regularly required to use hands and arms to handle or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, and lift/move up to 50lbs or more
- RF gun/barcode scanning experience (Preferred)
- Forklift experience (Preferred)
- Overhead crane experience (preferred)
