Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Area Supervisor in the Southern Utah County and Juab County Area, to oversee staff and foster positive relationships with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselors and local employers. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of services for individuals receiving support through Vocational Rehabilitation while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and professional communication. The Area Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of staff, ensuring their compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and maintaining positive working relationships with employers and other key partners in the region.
Duties
1. Staff Compliance & Oversight
- Monitor and ensure that all staff under your supervision are in compliance with company policies, training requirements, and regulatory guidelines, including Vocational Rehabilitation standards.
2. Communication with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Vocational Rehabilitation counselors within your assigned region, ensuring clear and respectful communication at all times.
- Maintain professional and respectful relationships with VR counselors, providing updates on client progress and any issues that may arise during service delivery.
- Ensure that clients’ needs and goals are communicated effectively between staff and VR counselors, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual respect.
- Coordinate with VR counselors to ensure that clients receive the necessary support and services to achieve their vocational and employment goals.
- Address any concerns or feedback from VR counselors, working proactively to resolve any issues that may affect client outcomes.
3. Employer Relations & Client Satisfaction
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employers in the local community, ensuring they understand and are satisfied with the services provided to clients.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with employers to ensure that clients are meeting performance expectations, and to gather feedback on their satisfaction with the program.
- Address any concerns or challenges raised by employers, acting as a liaison between the employer and the client to ensure a successful employment experience.
- Assist clients and employers with the resolution of any issues related to job placement, performance, or work environment to ensure long-term success and client satisfaction.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of clients into employment settings, ensuring that clients are well-prepared and supported in their new roles.
4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor service delivery in the region, ensuring that client needs are met and that services are being provided in a timely and effective manner.
- Implement strategies for improving service delivery and ensuring that all clients receive the support they need to succeed in their employment and training programs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Regularly assess and report on the status of client progress, employer satisfaction, and any issues related to program delivery, providing solutions where needed.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure that all client records, reports, and documentation are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner, following all legal and organizational standards.
- Keep detailed and up-to-date records of interactions with clients, VR counselors, and employers.
- Prepare and submit reports on client progress, staff performance, and employer feedback to senior management as required.
Experience
- Must be ACRE Certified
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in vocational rehabilitation, workforce development, or a related field.
- Experience working with Vocational Rehabilitation services, employers, and community partners.
- Proven experience in managing compliance, training, and employee performance.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and client management software.
Additional Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region to meet with employers, clients, and staff as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
