Jerry Pittman & Associates is hiring a Piping Designer in Lockport, LA and Metairie, LA
**SHIPBUILDING**
Responsibilities of these positions include developing detailed drawings based on applicable specifications and work order instructions, ensuring that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, preparing BOM (Bills of Material), and consulting with vendors on project related activities. Designers will also coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Minimum 3 years of piping design experience within the shipbuilding industry utilizing AutoCad and 3D modeling experience (Ship Constructor, Nupas Cadmatic, Inventor, CATIA, etc.)
Ship Constructor experience required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
