We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator / Bakery Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, ensuring all orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing to create unique cake designs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies, maintaining product on shelves and placing orders as needed.
- Participate in menu development by suggesting new cake designs or flavors based on current trends and customer preferences.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cake Decorator or similar role in a bakery or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen management principles.
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is an asset, demonstrating effective leadership skills.
- Familiarity with food service management concepts, including inventory control and quality assurance.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete individual tasks efficiently.
- A background in culinary arts or relevant certifications is advantageous but not mandatory.
