What You'll Do
- Lead Financial Operations: Manage accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements and reports in line with accounting standards.
- Strategic Budgeting: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Performance Monitoring: Track dealership metrics, identify improvement areas, and present actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Safeguard company assets by maintaining robust internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Department Collaboration: Partner with department managers to optimize financial operations and boost profitability.
- Audit Management: Oversee internal and external audits, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Industry Awareness: Stay current on automotive trends and financial regulations to ensure best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience: 5 years in accounting or finance, preferably within an automotive dealership or public accounting firm.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams while driving results.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to engage with leadership and team members.
