What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Runner / Busser position at JERRYS NUGGET INC?
Job Summary:
Keep the outlets supplied with clean dishes and utensils, and run items to Snack Bar, EDR, and Coffee Shop while remaining in compliance with all Clark County Health Department and company policies and procedures as they pertain to the position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Re-stock dishes in front of restaurant
- May perform basic prep work for food items
- Perform miscellaneous side jobs such as marrying ice cream and filling dressings
- Wash silverware, glasses, and cups in proper water temperature
- Inspect dishes and utensils after washing to ensure their cleanliness
- Clean and sanitize assigned worktables and equipment
- Maintain cup dishwashing machines in operating order with necessary chemicals, detergents and additives
- Clean and mop expo line floors and ensure they are free of debris and spills on a regular basis
- Stock front of house produce on shelves and rotate properly
- Prepare vegetables for soups and salads
- Break down boxes
- Deliver and re-stock dishes to food outlets
- Bus tubs on front and back of cook’s line in food outlets
- Stock garnishments, condiments, and ingredients for sundaes, salads, soups
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms and is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid condition
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, understand, and read English
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, environment and work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of operation and maintenance of dishwashing machines
- Must maintain valid Clark County Health Card
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to work with speed and efficiency
Physical Requirements:
- Substantial periods of standing, walking, bending, pulling, lifting, reaching, twisting, squatting, kneeling
- Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 250 lbs.
- Must be able to lift waist high minimum of at least 50 lbs.
- Must possess the physical ability to access all areas of the restaurant
