Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and marketing, with experience creating advertising for various media platforms, including print, digital, social media, and billboards. This role also plays a key part in the layout and design of a monthly local newspaper, requiring exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design compelling advertising materials for print, website, social media, billboards, and other media platforms.
• Creation and Implementation of Direct Mail campaigns
• Create engaging and brand-consistent content for marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and digital media.
• Oversee the layout and design of a monthly local newspaper, ensuring high-quality and deadline-driven production.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative concepts for marketing initiatives and branding strategies.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
• Work with printers and vendors to ensure the correct production of print materials.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in graphic design, marketing, and publishing.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in graphic design, marketing, and newspaper layout.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and other relevant design tools.
• Strong knowledge of typography, layout, and composition for both digital and print media.
• Experience with social media content creation and digital marketing strategies.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with print production and knowledge of pre-press file preparation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in journalism, publishing, or newspaper design.
• Familiarity with website management and basic HTML/CSS is a plus.
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics is a bonus.
