YOUR ROLE:

As a Crew Member you will be an integral part of a team entrusted with delivering consistently high-quality food products and a high standard of customer service while creating an engaging customer experience. You’ll be part of a team focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations with your focus and your individual efforts significantly contributing to the growth of the business. You will initially receive on-the-job training covering all aspects of Jersey Mike’s history and their tried and true means and methods of delivering consistently tasting high-quality sandwiches across all of its restaurants. You will, over a relatively short time, be able to provide this same training to new members of your team and through your on-the-job experiences you’ll be able to coach and mentor these individuals. These and other on-the-job duties and experiences will help position you to respond to new opportunities to move up in the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Some restaurant experience preferred
• Some direct customer service experience preferred
• Must have good verbal and written communications skills
• Must have an outgoing and energetic personality
• Must exhibit time management and organization skills
• Enjoy a fast paced work environment
• Must have a strong work ethic and accountability
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, bending, pushing and pulling, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motion, carrying, operating equipment ie: slicer, grill, bread knife, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers who walk through our doors.
• Talking, joking, & bantering with customers is not only encouraged, it's required. That's the Jersey Mike's way!
• Knowledgeable about our history and enthusiastic about "Mike's Way".
• Creating a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service, ensuring high food quality, and ensuring customer and employee safety.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of restaurant.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work station at all times.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items consistently by adhering to all recipe standards.

· Preparing all sandwich ingredients, which includes washing, cutting, slicing, chopping, and mixing ingredients according to established guidelines.

• Operating the cash register and handing customers the correct change.
• Properly sanitizing all utensils and dishes before each use.
• Ensures compliance with food and operational safety standards, and adherence with appropriate company policies and industry regulations.
• May assist with opening the store, closing the store, food and facility prep, and cleanup always adhering to guidelines.
• Assists in training new crew members.
• Arriving on time for a shift and staying until the shift is over.
• Conducts other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 34 per week
