What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager, Neuroscience Institute - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position at JERSEY SHORE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER?
The Neuro Critical Care Program Manager works in collaboration with the Neuro critical care staff and service line to plan, formulate, organize, and direct clinical and operational components of the service line. This position will focus on quality initiatives which is necessary to comply with regulatory standards. Collaboration with team members from nursing, our APP's in Neuroscience, physicians (neurologists, neurosurgeons), other clinicians and quality team members. Acute Care advanced practitioners (NP/PA) with 4 yrs experience in Neurosurgical critical care required. Monday-Friday, no on call requirement.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Current and valid New Jersey nursing or valid physician assistant license is required.
2. Master's Degree in Nursing or as a Physician Assistant required.
3. Acute Care advanced practitioners (NP/PA) with 4 yrs experience in Neurosurgical critical care.
4. Experience with bedside operative invasive procedures.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. Maintains all clinical skills as needed for Acute Care/Critical Care role credentialing.
2. Staff development experience and program development experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of data collection and report generation. This includes presenting data trends and KPI's.
4. Understands program development based on national trends and data procurement.
5. Supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
1. Physician Assistant License or NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
2. Advanced Practice Nurse Cetification (w/ Master's Degree) or Physician Assistant Certification.
3. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
5. Emergency Neurological Life Support.
6. National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
1. Six Sigma Certification
2. ANCC Certification in Stroke or Neurology or equivalent for PA candidates
