The Secretary II, Care Management assists Managers and/or Supervisors and staff to communicate information essential to the routine and non-routine daily operation of the department in an effective interdisciplinary collaborative manner to enhance customer satisfaction. Performs business functions in a multi-skilled environment, utilizing standard office equipment and basic or specialized software applications to provide services. Participates in departmental activities to enhance safety, quality, efficiency and access of rehabilitative and fitness services.
This is a fast paced Case Management Department located at JSUMC.
Hours can be: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm and/or Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
We are looking for someone that has experience with answering phones, google docs, sheets, etc.
Responsibilities will include secretarial, removing faxes and dividing to correct area, maintaining and creating google doc/sheets, answering and relaying phone calls, covering for other admin's, working with Medical Doctors and insurance carriers
This department is involved in insurance authorizations and denials, clinical information sent to insurers, discharge planning and placement of patients, Medicare regulations
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Ability to delegate, prioritize, think independently, be adaptable, and manage time efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Secretarial experience in a hospital environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital policy/procedures.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
