Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including but not limited to cabling, surveillance systems, fire alarms, and CCTV. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Low Voltage Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their systems are operational and meet safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain low voltage systems including cabling, fire alarms, CCTV, and surveillance equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to effectively install and configure systems.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide technical support as required.
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of low voltage systems to identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to build and assemble various components.
- Proficient in cabling techniques and installation practices.
- Familiarity with locksmithing principles is a plus.
- Experience with surveillance systems and CCTV installation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and their installation requirements.
- Understanding of low voltage electrical principles and safety protocols.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
