What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at JES, LLC?
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Maintenance to join our team in Willcox, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that equipment, tools and work performed are maintained and executed to the highest quality and rigorous testing and inspection processes are implemented and followed.
You will play a critical role in maintaining quality assurance protocols, conducting quality and safety audits, and supporting training and safety program initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, engineering, skilled trades in the construction management and/or mining industries and a passion for maintaining excellence in product quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform data collection and analyze results to identify maintenance and repair plans and areas for overall quality improvement.
- Participate in safety audits to assess adherence to internal standards and regulatory/OSHA requirements.
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve issues quickly and implement corrective actions or remediation plans.
- Document findings daily and maintain detailed records of all inspections, tests, and work performed.
- Assist in training team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in a construction, building engineering or mining environment preferred.
- Experience using, maintaining and repairing heavy industrial equipment and machinery a plus.
- Experience working in and around heavy industrial mining, manufacturing, process/systems engineering, or safety and QC a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to quality and safety training, reporting and audits is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Non-CDL Class C or Class D
- High-school diploma with relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent technical or apprenticeship program completion.
- Experience using hand and power tools, reading schematics and operating inventory management systems
- Ability to work all scheduled days, shifts and hours, and on-call availability as needed
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. Spanish a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
