BIM Operator

JESCO Inc. is seeking a BIM Operator within our Mechanical and Electrical Division. This position will report to the Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and development of 3D models of mechanical systems with an emphasis on piping and HVAC Duct systems to support construction projects while working closely with Engineering, Project Management and Field Management.
• Assist with the Creation, development, and coordination of 3D models for fabrication of piping and duct systems and production of fabrication documentation.
• Participation in coordination and clash detection meetings working with other trades, contractors, and design team members.
• Creation of 2D shop drawings and As Built or Record Drawings from coordinated models
• Creation of Project Drawings from design models for Design/Build Construction.
• The use of Building Information Modeling tools and software to support engineering and project management tasks.

Software experience needed

• Proficiency with AutoCAD – Minimum 5 years of experience is required.
• Proficiency with Revit – Minimum 5 years of experience required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Fabrication CADMEP
• Proficiency with Navisworks Manage.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, photo editing, Outlook.

Knowledge of

• Building Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems drafting and design
• Building Plumbing and Domestic Water Systems drafting and design
• Experience drafting/designing for a mechanical contractor or engineering firm. Experience with a mechanical contractor is preferred.
• Architectural and structural construction documentation.
• AIA Division 22 and 23 submittal review.
