The Subsite Product Specialist is responsible for the direct sale of new, used, and rental Subsite utility inspection products to all approved customers within the assigned territory. This role encompasses all sales activities, from lead generation through to quoting and closing deals. The specialist will build and maintain strong customer relationships, focusing on long-term mutual growth.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):
- Track Construction Bid Results: Identify opportunities with existing accounts and prospects.
- Customer Needs Assessment: Determine customer needs and select applicable equipment configurations to meet their technical requirements and applications.
- Trade Evaluations: Perform trade evaluations on new quote opportunities.
- Price Calculations and Quotations: Perform price calculations and generate customer quotations.
- Bid Specifications: Write bid specifications that favor Subsite for government agency bids and purchases.
- Product Demonstrations: Perform product demonstrations to prospective buyers, effectively communicating the features and benefits of Subsite products and services.
- Training: Conduct Operation & Maintenance training on new equipment deliveries.
- Networking: Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry-related networking events.
- Client Information Management: Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, including key influencers and decision makers, future purchasing plans, payment or financing preferences, and fleet profiles.
- Internal Communication: Communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate department personnel as needed.
- Accounts Receivable: Assist in the resolution of outstanding accounts receivables or other client concerns or disputes.
- Competitive Intelligence: Maintain knowledge of competitors' products and report intelligence on competitors' pricing or marketing strategies to management and peers.
- Sales Reporting: Submit various sales reports as required, including activities, opportunities, deals pending, and adherence to goals.
- Product Knowledge & Maintenance: Maintain current knowledge of Subsite products. Keep the demo unit (If JESCO purchases one) in clean like new condition for demonstrations.
- Technical Skills: Ability to learn small maintenance skills for certain situations that may come up while out in the field.

Requirements
- Five years of proven outside sales experience.
- Knowledge of utility inspection equipment operation and applications.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and professional appearance.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong written communication skills and exceptional presentation, negotiation, and business acumen.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and CRM systems.
- High energy, excellent self-motivation, and work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally operate, demonstrate, climb, and walk around the equipment to sell to customers.
- Physical ability to evaluate equipment for trade, including climbing and operating equipment.
- Ability to drive a vehicle and cover an assigned territory, with driving up to 80% of the day.
- Ability to travel by air to attend sales-related or professional development events as required.
- Ability to complete at least six to ten effective customer visits per day.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and terrain, and work in construction site environments to meet customers on job sites.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid Driver's License – must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
- PACP a big plus!
- GPS experience.
- Lateral Launch and Mainline experience preferred.
