Nutritionist / Dietitian Consultant
We are seeking a Consultant Nutritionist to provide expert guidance on healthy eating and nutrition through interactive cooking classes and educational sessions for both clients and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, culinary skills, and experience in teaching food preparation, meal planning, and grocery shopping for a healthier lifestyle. Experience working with a high functioning I / DD population is helpful.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and lead hands-on cooking classes for clients and staff, focusing on nutritious and balanced meals.
- Educate staff and clients on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and proper portion control.
- Conduct food shopping workshops, teaching cost-effective and healthy grocery shopping strategies.
- Provide guidance on reading food labels, choosing whole foods, and minimizing processed foods.
- Teach safe and efficient food preparation techniques, including meal prepping and cooking methods.
- Adapt meal plans and cooking demonstrations to meet dietary restrictions and special health needs.
- Collaborate with staff to integrate nutrition education into their work with clients.
- Stay updated on current nutrition trends and guidelines to provide evidence-based recommendations.
