Private Lesson Instructor: Voice

Jesse Stiglich Music School (JSMS) is a vibrant and growing community school and is looking to hire a private Voice Instructor for both of our locations - Hanover and Braintree. The ability to teach other instruments is a plus but is not required. There are also opportunities to work with ensembles and group classes, however that is not a necessity if applicants feel they are better suited to stick with private teaching only. The ideal candidate will be one who is a well-rounded musician, enthusiastic, organized, passionate and can draw on their own experiences during lessons. In addition, the candidate must be good with younger children ages 5-10, and experience teaching that age group is valued. At JSMS, we believe that faculty should always meet the student where they are at while helping them explore their own interests, having them feel welcome, and teaching them the fundamentals of music. JSMS handles all scheduling and administrative duties so that our teachers can come in and focus only on their students and teaching without the hassle of juggling administrative responsibilities. The only time JSMS includes the teacher in administrative duties is if the teacher has to reschedule lessons due to a conflict.

Hanover location is 51 Mill Street, right off Rt 3 highway

Braintree location is 25 Brow Ave, 10 minute walk from Braintree T on red line and right off the highway

Responsibilities include:

*Teach private lessons to all ages as young as 5, and possibly including adults.

*Develop effective lesson plans for in-person lessons.

*Motivate student growth and music-making, and track student progress.

*Effectively communicate with students, their families, administration and other faculty.

*Actively participate and encourage students to partake in JSMS events such as Recitals, Masterclasses, Camps, etc.

Pay:

$40/hour for Private Lessons

$50/hour for Group Lessons

**Raises offered periodically based on teacher longevity and involvement at JSMS**

Days Available:

Hanover: Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays all day **Hanover is more of a need with more demand**

Braintree: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday afternoon/evenings **This location is new to JSMS and is growing quickly**

Bachelor’s Degree in Music required, or multiple years of experience teaching music.
