ESL/504 Coorrdinator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team at Moody ISD as an ESL/504 Coordinator. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring that English Language Learners (ELLs) receive appropriate support and services while also managing the 504 accommodations for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, parents, and community members to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and monitor the ESL program to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. - Coordinate the identification and assessment of ELL students, including the administration of appropriate language proficiency assessments. - Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and deliver effective instructional strategies tailored to the needs of ELL students. - Facilitate professional development sessions for staff on best practices for teaching ELLs and implementing 504 accommodations. - Serve as the primary contact for parents and guardians of ELL students, providing information and resources to support their children's education. - Oversee the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with disabilities. - Monitor student progress and adjust services as needed to ensure academic success. - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to ESL and 504 services, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements. - Collaborate with community organizations and resources to support ELL students and their families. - Participate in school and district committees as needed to advocate for the needs of ELL students and those with disabilities.
