What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Producer position at Jessica Lasky Catering & The Little Kitchen?
We are a full service catering company - we provide production on top of the food. Production includes styling, decor, rentals, linens, flowers, logistics, vendor management, timelines, beverage packages. This all falls under the production purview of this job.

Candidate must be creative, with a high aesthetic and ability to create beautiful, cohesive events from a visual perspective and a production point of view as well. Must be sharp, able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, flexible with both clients and the team, positive and good natured.
This is not a 9 to 5 job. Our dynamic schedules take us remote, up to 70 miles from our office, to different locations and residences, and to events at all sorts of varying times of day, evenings and weekends. Candidate should be able to self manage their time and workload to produce within the specific time constraints. We work in the office 2 days a week minimum, onsite 1 to 2 days a week, and fill in office time at home.
The event producer position involves :
-Work directly with the event manager to produce the events.
-Up to 50 productions a year.
-Production: walkthroughs, meetings/calls, managing rentals, creating logistics forms and menus, communicating details to JLC team, styling (linens and flowers, decor), working with venues and planners/coordinators. Arranging/coordinating other vendors, creating floor plans, managing the day before and/or day of load ins, tastings, obtaining permits as needed, COI’s to venues as needed, packing for events that producer will be lead.
-Updating all appropriate event documents in a timely and accurate manner as information is added and changed.
-Reviewing all rentals, logistics sheets, invoices, etc. with attention to detail to ensure they are complete and error-free.
-Invoicing: executing deposit invoices / contracts and tracking payments.
-Onsite:
Executing events in both private homes and public venues.
Supporting other producers at their events as needed.
Communicating warmly and effectively with clients, other vendors, and our team (both front of house and back of house). Acting as a leader onsite to ensure the events run smoothly.
Go onsite 1 to 3 times per week, including other producers’ events.
Salary : $35 - $40
