Jesuit Dallas Visual Art Teacher
Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to teach high school art in a Catholic all-male setting. This teacher will be expected to:
- Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit.
- Teach, in cooperation with course level teams, five sections of visual art or the equivalent.
- Collaborate with members of the Fine Arts Department in on-going curriculum development and review.
- Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
- Engage in on-going professional development.
- Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Studio Art, Design, Art Education or related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in photography and digital art.
- Ability to moderate yearbook preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
- May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time.
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
