Upholsterer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, capable of transforming aircraft and yacht and interiors into beautifully upholstered pieces. This role requires proficiency in both hand and power tools, as well as sewing techniques, to fabricate and assemble high-quality upholstery products.

Duties

• Fabricate upholstery components using various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every piece.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and assemble upholstery materials.
• Sew upholstery fabric using a sewing machine, ensuring strong seams and finishes.
• Assemble upholstered items, including furniture and automotive interiors, with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Perform repairs on existing upholstery items as needed, demonstrating problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to upholstery work.
• Strong sewing skills with experience operating a sewing machine.
• Knowledge of fabric types and their applications in upholstery is advantageous.
• Experience in auto restoration is a plus but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow specifications accurately.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
