A DAY IN THE LIFE OF a Business Development Representative
As a business development rep , you are involved in sales, customer service, and the management of your clients’ funding needs. You will work with the Axle logistic consultants to find interested carriers for our factoring services. You will be responsible for working all leads passed to our team from the consultants, as well as making “warm calls” to the Axle Logistics carrier base. You will manage the entire sales process from the initial contract negotiation, potential buyouts, and client onboarding. You function as the liaison between your clients and our internal operations staff. You will also be responsible for managing your portfolio clients. By providing first in class customer service, you develop long-term relationships with your clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct warm calling to generate leads and set appointments for the sales team
- Research and identify potential clients in target markets
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients through effective communication
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for achieving sales goals
- Utilize CRM software, such as HubSpot, to track and manage leads and opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the sales process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities
