We are seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead a team at the maintenance facility location in Kansas City, Mo. We need a supervisor that can fit in quickly, has a positive attitude, and has general experience working on Commercial aircraft components. (737, 747, 757, 767, 777, A319, A320, A321, DC-10, ECT.)
Position Overview
- This position works as a Component Shop Supervisor performing inspections, assembly, repair, etc. and performing checks on materials, supplies, labor allocation, cost structures, etc. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification and/or
- 5 or more years of repair/overhaul/inspection of aircraft components
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations airworthiness requirements
- Knowledge of general removal, repair, and inspection procedures of aircraft parts/components.
- Possess adequate tools
- Successful background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Monitor employee time, on and off jobs
- Monitor cost associated with work in progress
- Monitor material needs
- Ensure mechanics have adequate tools and supplies for the job
- Keep an ongoing projected revenue per month
- Supervise and manage team of technicians and lead
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment
- Perform job duties in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
