Full Job Description:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards and help to drive a unique guest experience
- Estimate food requirements, inventory, and food/labor costs while reducing waste and controlling product shelf life
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Rectify arising problems or complaints
- Give prepared plates the “final touch” including garnishing, plating, and portioning.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, including preparation, rotation, hand washing, personal hygiene, and related processes
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- Proven working experience as a head chef
- Experience with global flavors and cuisines
- Excellent record of kitchen management
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Communication and leadership skills
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
