Job Description:
Jet’s is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Store Development to oversee the successful expansion of fast growing brand through strategic sales, recruiting high-quality franchise partners to expand our footprint nationwide. Currently representing over 450 locations across the US, Jet’s is positioned well in the category for rapid growth. This role includes managing the sales process, site selection, store planning, construction oversight, and ensuring timely and efficient openings. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating closely with franchisees and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES – FRANCHISE SALES:
· Develop and execute strategic plans to grow Jet's Pizza franchise network by identifying and engaging qualified prospective franchisees.
· Lead franchise sales initiatives, including sourcing leads, qualifying candidates, presenting the Jet’s Pizza brand value proposition, and negotiating franchise agreements.
· Build and manage relationships with potential franchisees through proactive communication, education, and support throughout the entire sales process.
· Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling sales and marketing materials highlighting Jet's Pizza’s brand strengths, support systems, and financial opportunities.
· Represent Jet's Pizza at industry events, franchise expos, and conferences to expand brand visibility and generate leads.
· Work closely with existing franchisees and internal teams to identify opportunities for expansion and enhance overall franchisee satisfaction.
· Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and demographic data to strategically identify high-potential areas for franchise growth.
· Regularly report on sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics to executive leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES – STORE DEVELOPMENT:
· Oversee the entire store development process from site selection to store opening, ensuring timelines, budgets, and brand standards are consistently met.
· Guide and support franchisees through the development process, including real estate selection, lease negotiation, store design, permitting, construction, and opening procedures.
· Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient and effective store construction and opening processes.
· Conduct site visits and inspections throughout the development phases to monitor progress and adherence to brand guidelines.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive project management tools, tracking systems, and reporting processes to ensure transparency and accountability in store development projects.
· Provide training and resources to franchisees to facilitate smooth transitions from store development to operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES – TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEPARTMENT GROWTH:
· Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing franchise development and store development team.
· Foster a positive team environment emphasizing collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
· Set clear performance objectives, provide regular coaching and feedback, and support career growth for team members.
· Implement training programs to ensure the team stays updated on industry best practices and company standards.
· Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with strategic goals.
· Continuously improve departmental processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
· Minimum of 8 years experience in franchise sales, franchise development, or related sales leadership roles
· Proven track record of successful franchise sales or business development, demonstrating strong negotiation and closing skills.
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to create and foster meaningful relationships with prospective and existing franchise partners.
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and market insights to inform sales strategies.
· Self-driven with a high level of initiative and ability to lead independently.
Compensation
- Base salary range: $85,000 - $150,000
