Shipping Order Coordinator

Classification - Non-Exempt

Salary range - $17.00 - $18.00

Reports to - Director of supply chain

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00. a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. This position may require overtime hours and potential Saturday work.

Job Description

Summary / Objective:

This position is responsible for efficient and accurate order processing and shipping, coordinating with various departments to meet shipping deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

• Have an understanding of the Shipping Department
• Coordinate all outbound and backorder shipments.
• Analyze and prep all pick lists- making notes for Order Selectors.
• Verify parts on orders per Customer Service requests.
• Set up midnight shift with their workload.
• Set up the weekly order queue.
• Manage build queue and TBD orders.
• Communicate instructions from other departments that are pertinent to the orders.
• Maintain and update all logs used in the Shipping Department.
• Give direction when needed for order fulfillment upon request from CSR’s.
• Help build and modify racking systems to increase stocking capabilities and accommodate customer requirements.
• Prepare for and attend daily production meetings.
• Prepare paperwork, stage and load outbound shipments to customers.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets, and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, low motors, stock pickers, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

The employee must regularly lift and / or move objects up to 75 pounds on a daily basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

· 1 years of shipping or logistics experience.

· 1 years of forklift experience.

· Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

Preferred Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

· Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field

· 2 years of experience in shipping or logistics.

· 5 years of forklift experience.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

· Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

· Forklift Operator License (will certify / train in house).
