Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead and elevate our HR function. This role will serve as a key partner to leadership, overseeing all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR operations and initiatives across multiple regions. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional who can drive HR strategy while ensuring exceptional execution of day-to-day operations. This position is based on-site at JSSI’s Global Headquarters in Chicago.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong commitment to employee experience, business alignment, and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.
\n- Strategic Leadership & HR Vision
- a. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals to support growth and organizational effectiveness.
- b. Lead a high-performing, global HR team across the U.S. and the Philippines.
- Organizational Design, Leadership Development & Succession Planning
- a. Partner with executives to drive organizational design and change initiatives that support evolving business needs.
- b. Design and implement leadership development programs and succession plans to ensure a strong internal pipeline for critical roles.
- Global HR Operations & Vendor Management
- a. Oversee international HR operations and employment structures, including partnerships with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), partnering with various departments.
- b. Manage relationships with global vendors and benefits providers to ensure consistent service delivery, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- HR Technology, Analytics & Process Optimization
- a. Support the HR team in driving continuous improvement of HR systems and processes to enhance user experience, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- b. Ensure data integrity and leverage HR analytics and reporting tools to enable data-driven decision-making and strategic workforce planning.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention
- a. Support staffing team for oversight of end-to-end talent management efforts, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.

- Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience
- a. Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture that reflects JSSI’s values.

- Employee Relations & Workplace Guidance
- a. Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement.
- b. Ensure consistent, fair, and values-based approaches to sensitive employee matters and organizational change management.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred but not required.
- 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in both strategic planning and tactical execution within HR.
- Familiarity with employment laws and strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies and procedures
- Experience operating in a global company with a footprint in multiple regions.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and HR analytics.
At JSSI, we are committed to rewarding our team members with competitive and comprehensive compensation packages that reflect their contributions and talent.
For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $168,000 to $195,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, your total rewards package may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, or other form of additional compensation, based on your role.
