Job Overview
Sojourn Philly is a hospitality group of three restaurants: Jet Wine Bar, Rex at The Royal, and Sor Ynez. Sojourn Philly has been operating restaurants in Philly since 2010. Our mission is to create welcoming environments that serve delicious food and drink while being a caring and responsible neighborhood Partner. We are looking to hire Seasonal Bartenders for the 2025 Wine Garden at Jet Wine Bar.
The Wine Garden is scheduled to open the last weekend of March and operates through early / mid November; the seasonal employment opportunities for this position run March through November, as well.
The brand of Jet Wine Bar is defined by ancient world wine and showcasing wine with a story. Enthusiasm for continuous learning in this position are essential. Seasonal Bartenders are expected to embody our hospitality traits of being approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly.
The achievement of knowledgeable service is only possible through consistent exposure to our wine and expertise; therefore, Seasonal Bartenders are required to work at least two shifts per week.
Ideal candidates are equipped with experience working with wine, are looking for a dynamic / outgoing style of bartending, and are excited to spend the season learning about ancient world wine.
Seasonal Bartenders earn $8.00 / hour tips, and are guaranteed to earn at least $15.00 / hour.
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
- Basic wine knowledge required, advanced knowledge is preferred
- Basic cocktail and beer knowledge
- Bartending experience of at least 1 years in a medium to high volume restaurant environment
- Customer service and high volume service
- Accurate cash handling and POS operations
- Menu memorization
- Safe food handlingFood and beverage pairing
- Professional composure
