Position Summary
The Manager Airport Strat Projects Analysis manages and actively leads Airports projects through all phases of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close), with a strong focus on Airports Strategy and Process Improvement. The Manager Airport Strat Projects Analysis provides direction, coaching, and mentoring to share their knowledge and expertise in project management to others and drives the successful execution of prioritized projects both on time and within budget.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful implementation of assigned project plans within the Airports umbrella
- Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of other policies, programs and initiatives, including determining the impact on Airports and Airports business partners
- Develop and/or oversee the execution of strategic guidelines and programs pertaining to Airports to ensure consistency with JetBlue’s culture, and government, legal regulations, and best practice
- Oversee the creation and reporting of measures to ensure strategic goals are met on time, within budget, and drive process improvement/efficiencies through a systematic quality management program
- Identify, analyze, and improve workflows within the Airport Operations organization
- Utilize data to make recommendations on process improvement and drive strategic change within the Airports workgroup
- Identify projects’ core dependencies and critical paths as well as risks, mitigation strategies, and oversee implementation.
- Provide project status, timelines, resources, and financials for weekly updates, Steering Committees, and other periodic meetings as required
- Schedule and coordinate tasks for deliverables, resources, and projects
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to produce quality deliverables
- Coordinate business case development, submissions and execution
- Stay knowledgeable of JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, Security Policy, and behavioral standards
- Resolve most conflicts as they arise
- Keep crewleader informed of progress
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Five (5) years of continuous improvement, process engineering, or project management experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Agile project management techniques to develop tools, timelines and documents
- Sound decision-making ability, analytical reasoning, and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization
- Possesses highly effective analytical thinking ability to gather, understand, integrate, and synthesize complex information in order to develop solutions, make recommendations, or propose action plans
- Financial acumen, return on investment (ROI) analysis and ability to structure a business case (or ability to learn said skills quickly)
- Possess the ability to quickly adapt to last-minute changes, changing priorities, or project changes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with senior leadership in an effective manner
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Available for occasional overnight travel (30%)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport for potential international travel
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or other relevant field
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification
- Knowledge of Information Systems and Airport Operations
- Experience in change management and process improvement

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation
- The base pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
