Position Summary
The Junior Lead, Accounts Payable oversees and supports the Accounts Payable team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payments to business partners of JetBlue Travel Products (JTP). This role works closely with leadership within JTP and JetBlue to align processes, maintain compliance, and achieve strategic goals. The ideal candidate is also responsible for managing daily operations, maintaining internal controls, and driving process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

Essential Responsibilities
Oversee and support the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate payment processing, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture through leadership, mentorship and development.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy and compliance with company policies and strategic objectives.
Ensure accurate and complete month-end close processes and generate reports on accounts payable activities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
Assist with onboarding and updating business partners by providing accurate information, monitoring progress and ensuring timely action by relevant teams.
Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and support audit functions by ensuring compliance with processes and verifying payment accuracy.
Act as the primary contact for escalated issues with business partners, resolving disputes and maintaining strong relationships.
Lead training sessions and manage complex projects or special assignments to support team development and operational excellence.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
Three (3) years of experience in a financial, accounts payable, or administrative role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, with the ability to learn advanced tools and features.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while effectively managing and mentoring a team in a fast-paced environment.
Available for overnight travel (10%).
Must pass a ten (10) year background check.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of Accounts Payable or finance-related experience, including demonstrated leadership abilities or experience in a supervisory role.
Demonstrated ability to oversee team performance, provide constructive feedback and foster a collaborative work environment.
Knowledge of JTP brands, products and systems.
Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for analysis, reporting and account reconciliation.
Experience using SAP software system.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Regular attendance and punctuality.
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.
Able to maintain a professional appearance.
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
