Position Summary
The Manager IT Platform Engineering Infrastructure Operations prepares engineering analysis of projects including preliminary design, calculation, lifecycle costs, and equipment selection. The Manager provides leadership and guidance to the team to ensure the highest availability and stability of our systems. The Manager also excels when working on complex projects, is motivated to deliver results, and exhibits the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting in day to day administration applications running on cloud and on-prem environment
- Ability to deal with complex and ambiguous environments and maintain a business-wide view across a variety work-streams and timeframes
- Strong knowledge and experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with platform security, compliance, and governance, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, auditing, or logging
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI / CD), Git, Jenkins, or Ansible
- Experience with content delivery network (CDN) technologies
- Develop server procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systems
- Manage significant system upgrades, enhancements, migrations, integration and releases of new software to quality assurance (QA), production and disaster recovery environments and resolve any technical and / or business issues
- Resolve, coordinate and escalate back-up / recovery support issues and risks
- Maintain system compliance with Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX), Payment Card Industry (PCI), IT General Controls and other regulatory controls as required
- Advocate, train and provide technical support on new technologies
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma / GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experienceFive (5) years of experience in production operations environmentProvide twenty four (24) hour, seven (7) day a week on-call support at scheduled times; and be able to be contacted through a business cell phone or provide an alternate phone contact at all timesStrong knowledge and experience with cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or HelmKnowledge of IT Best Practices as they relate to the following areas : IT Infrastructure, Change Management, Data Networks, IT Security, Virtualization, Web Servers, Middleware, Single Sign On and Storage technologiesAvailable for overnight travel (up to 10%)Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short noticeMust pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required. The base pay range for this position is between $118,800.00 and $177,100.00 per year.
