Aircraft Cleaners are responsible for some or all of the following aircraft servicing duties : Basic cleaning & sanitizing of aircraft lavatory sinks, countertops, mirrors, toilets & surrounding areas, trash bins, changing table, walls / ceiling / door & floors. Stocking of lavatory paper goods & soap. Removal & disposal of trash from trash bins. Basic cleaning of aircraft seats, tray tables, First Class center console / beverage tray, seat pockets & armrests. Ensuring correct aircraft seat covers are in place & attached properly & aircraft seat belts are uniformly crossed. Ensuring correct safety evacuation card &d seat pocket contents are in place & in good condition. Basic cleaning & sanitizing of galley countertops / drains / spigots, exterior cabinet surfaces / latches & galley trash cans & / or trash compartments. Basic cleaning of aircraft ovens, coffee pots / burner / housing & galley floors. Coffee brew bags should be discarded. Galley ice bins should be emptied & water removed on overnight aircraft. Removal & disposal of trash from galley trash cans, trash compartments & cabin trash compartments. Basic cleaning of aircraft overhead bins, windows / frames / shades, air vents, passenger service units, walls / kick plates, bulkhead / divider & closets. Ensuring pillows & blankets are clean & properly folded & returned to specified stowage locations. Vacuum floors & under seats / seat cushions. Spot clean carpet & remove embedded gum when necessary. Basic cleaning of aircraft flight deck windows / glare shields, flight display monitors, inside surfaces (mirror, oxygen gear & nose gear sites), sliding table / cup holders & floors. Forward control panel, console panel, control pedestal & forward / aft fuse panels dusted & vacuumed. Removal & disposal of trash from flight deck. Other duties as assigned by members of management.Minimum requirements for the Aircraft Cleaner position : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Reliable method of transportation to arrive at the work location on-time. Able to maintain a well groomed & professional appearance. Pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 10-year background check & pre-employment drug test. Pass a Department of Homeland Security / Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security assessment. Legally eligible to work in the United States as an Aircraft Cleaner. Must be able to : stand, bend & / or stoop for periods of time; lift 50 pounds; walk up / down jet bridge stairs at various angles; learn the various types of aircraft in the airline's fleet & their cleaning requirements.
